When will I receive my MagBeam and other MagMod modifiers?

We anticipate final delivery beginning in July 2016. Almost all domestic/USA deliveries will take 2-3 days. Canadian backers can expect about 7-9 days for delivery. Europe and South America are about 12-15 days (based on past experience delivering mass production goods). Asia and the South Pacific can expect around 12-15 days as well. Will MagMod Work with my flash?

We know it’s hard to believe that a system can truly be universal, but with MagMod it’s true! MagMod’s magnetic modular system begins by installing the MagGrip onto your flash. The MagGrip is a patented design made of high quality silicone rubber which makes it easy to stretch and fit onto almost any hot-shoe flash. It is the “adapter” piece that is the base of our system. It has two super strong rare earth magnets imbedded in it so that all of the other MagMod Modifiers (including the baller new MagBeam) attach to it quickly, quietly, and securely. There’s only one MagGrip design, so you don’t have to worry about getting different sizes for different flashes. In fact, we made a list of flashes that we’ve found work great with the MagGrip. View the list on our website here: https://magnetmod.com/article/will-magmod-work-with-my-flash/ Here are some super awesome (and quick) informational videos about our MagGrip: https://youtu.be/zpMtR1-MeCE https://youtu.be/1FewwiH90-4 Last updated: Tue, Mar 1 2016 10:27 pm EST

Will Magnets Damage My Camera Gear?

In as few words as possible, we can confidently say: ABSOLUTELY NOT. But to make you feel a bit more comfortable about the idea of having powerful magnets around sensitive electronics, we made a video showing you how magnets are completely safe around flashes, cameras, memory cards, radio transmitters, and other sensitive electronics we use everyday as photographers. To further prove that our magnets won’t harm the vast majority of your electronic equipment, we ran the same test against our iPhone and Macbook. The iPhone and Macbook both have solid-state hard drives, which is the same type of storage as your CF and SD memory cards. As long as your electronic devices are using solid-state media, your electronics are going to be just fine around magnets. In fact, most smartphones and tablets today have magnets inside of the devices themselves! Watch the videos here: Will Magnets Damage My Camera Gear? https://youtu.be/lQdd2m8c368 The EXTREME Magnet Test: https://youtu.be/uocSSngZKbQ We do want you to be aware of certain types of electronics that should definitely be kept far away from all types of magnets, including: - older spinning hard drives - credit cards - older televisions - speakers - and most importantly, pacemakers. BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
